The Power Building Collective of Texas (PBC) is a statewide network of more than 30 organizations working together to build power, advance equity, and create lasting change for children and families from birth through age five. Grounded in the leadership, lived experiences, and expertise of BIPOC/ALAANA (Black, Indigenous, People of Color; African, Latine, Asian, Arab, and Native American) communities, PBC is committed to ensuring that those closest to the challenges facing young children are also closest to the decisions shaping their future.
Texas is home to more than 2 million children under the age of five, making the early years one of our state’s greatest opportunities—and responsibilities. Yet too many families continue to face barriers to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Through regional partnerships, PBC elevates community voices, strengthens local leadership, and advances community-driven solutions across Texas. Through advocacy, collaboration, and shared learning, we are building the collective power needed to create systems that work for all families. PBC is more than a coalition; it is a movement to ensure communities have the power to shape the policies, investments, and systems that impact their lives, because lasting change begins with the people closest to the work.
Join us in building a stronger Texas for young children and families. Whether you are a community-based organization, advocate, or partner committed to equity and systems change, there is a place for you in this movement. Together, we can amplify community voice, strengthen local leadership, and create the conditions for every child, every family, and every community to thrive.
